Changes
in Version 4.0.3.1003:
-
Improved memory performance when handling large databases and
when Tracker is receiving positions for an extended period of
time
- Added
a Max Track field to Settings|Interface|Options. The Max Track
controls the maximum number of Events to be considered when updating
the Track table in the Tracker Window and when drawing asset history.
If Max Track is set to 1000, then only the most recent 1000 events
will be considered when plotting asset history. If the Events
database is large it can take a longer time for the Track table
in the Tracker Window to be refreshed. Plotting of asset history
will also be less efficient. The recommended default is 1000
- Help
file updated
- Fix
to database login arising after logging into Tracker without database
support
Changes
in Version 4.0.1.635:
- New 'docked'
options for Tracker form layouts. The Tracker form can now be
swapped from its original 'floating window' configuration, to
a 'docked' position. (Docked positions include right hand side
vertical and bottom horizontal.) To change the form layout, click
on the Toggle Tracker Window Location button in the main tool
bar:
- Added
step through asset history position on screen. Double click
on any event in the Track window to display the position of
the asset at the time of that event
Changes
in Version 4.0.1.559:
- Fix to Auto
Refresh for networked copies of Tracker
- Fixed issue
with certain Windows configurations that were not allowing auto
refresh to work correctly on networked copies of Fugawi Tracker
- Fix to reinstate
support for older GMF vector files
Changes
in Version 4.0.1.517:
- Auto refresh
enabled for networked copies of Tracker. In Settings|Interface|Options
is an Auto Refresh Table check box and an Auto Refresh Interval,
which you can set in seconds
- Added feature
to allow connections to a remote Tracker database over the Internet.
Fugawi Tracker now allows the user to connect to a database hosted
on a remote machine, located on a LAN or somewhere on the Internet.
The requirement is that the machine hosting the database has a
fixed IP address and is visible to the client machine with appropriate
network permissions. Customers should be aware that as a large
amount of data is passing between server and client machine, performance
might be slow over low speed Internet connections. The Auto Refresh
interval should be set accordingly (recommended 5 or 10 minutes)
To connect
to a Fugawi Tracker database, go to Settings|Interface|Database
and enter the path to the database.
Example
1 - For a Database located elsewhere on a LAN:
\\networkserver\shared\FugawiTracker\Tracker.GDB
Example
2 - For a database located elsewhere on the Internet:
IPAddress:C:\Program Files\Common Files\Fugawi\Tracker\Tracker.GDB
(e.g. 111.111.1.1:C:\Program Files\Common Files\Fugawi\Tracker\Tracker.GDB)
- Using
Asset Label instead of Asset ID for display: To display the Asset
Label instead of Asset ID on the Track Tab, click the 'Enforce
unique Asset Labels' check box in Settings|Interface|Options.
- TCP/IP Outbound
message: Added a new message for Tracker TCP/IP protocol
If 'Enforce unique Asset Label' is selected as per above and TCP/IP
interface is selected, then Tracker will display a 'Configure
Asset' icon on the Track tab.
Selecting
on or more assets and clicking this button will cause Tracker
to output a TCP/IP Message as follows:
$PFUGCFG,X,ASSET1_ID,ASSET1_LABEL,ASSET1_GROUPNAME,
ASSET2_ID,ASSET2_LABEL,ASSET2_GROUPNAME,...
Where X is the number of Assets in the string
Developers
who use the Tracker TCP/IP protocol to communicate between their
device and Tracker can use this message to poll external devices.
- Time display:
The time display fields have been rationalized. All times are
now stored in the Tracker database in UTM, but displayed on the
Tracker tabs in Local Time (adjusted by the Windows Clock for
display purposes). Customers, who want to view time in UTM, can
change the Windows clock accordingly.
- User Grid
for Map calibration: Customers can now calibrate maps, or import
Tiff/TFW maps using a User Grid and/or a User datum.
Changes
in Version 4.0.1.387:
- A new Windows
installer eliminates requirement to reboot during install on Win
2000, XP and NT machines
- Tracker
now supports S-57 ENC marine vector maps
- The time
display on the Events tab is now converted to 'local time' (based
on system clock)
- Speed and
units on the Events tab now shows as Metric, Statue, or Nautical,
based on the user preferences
- The user
can delete events from the Events tab of the Tracker window (using
a mouse right-click)
- The user
can export reports as a comma separated text file for use in other
programs
