'...Forbidden...' error when trying to activate and download charts into iNavX -- Email and Password may need correction

Check your email and password (case-sensitive) in the iNavX menu Charts | Account (in the older iNavX 4, the menu is PreferencesX-Traverse Account).‚Äč It must match exactly with whatever logs you into www.fugawi.com/login.


 

The error "Unable to retrieve account information. Forbidden" is not as scary as it sounds. In nearly all cases it means your Fugawi (formerly X-Traverse) account password is entered incorrectly in the iNavX menu Charts | Account (or the same menu can be accessed via More tab | Account).

The password is case sensitive, so make sure Upper Case letters are distinguished form lower case letters. And if it is not the password at fault, double check your account's email login: make sure there are no trailing spaces or one character typed in wrong.

One way or another, whatever email + password that logs you into the web site at...

... is exactly what needs to be entered into iNavX (the email and password have no way of automatically migrating from the web site to the app).

If you need to re-create a password, use text characters A to Z / a to z / 0 to 9, under-score _ and dash - ... and define that new password using this special link:

fugawi.com/my_account/password/new  

Whatever your password becomes, enter it into iNavX under Charts | Account. Then tap Login. A message of Success is given when the email and password were correctly input.

If you get completely stuck on the "...forbidden..." error, then support@x-traverse.com. Mention the error message and what email name you are typing into iNavX. (Do not reveal your password, we don't want to know!) We can flush out your old password and make sure a new one lets you solve this error.
