How to cancel the auto-renewal of an iTunes in-app purchase

Apple support has a generalized article on disabling automatic renewal of any kind of subscription in your iTunes account. See: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039 


 

You may modify iTunes Store subscription for any number of applicable products. This is a task between you and the iTunes Store so if you experience difficulties with cancelling a subscription auto-renewal, work with iTunes Store support for resolution.

Here are the typical steps used to disable automatic renewal of a subscription for a chart product used in iNavX:

  1. On the Home screen, tap the iOS Settings icon.
  2. Tap iTunes & App Stores.
  3. Tap on your Apple ID.
  4. Tap View Apple ID.
  5. Under the Subscriptions section, tap Manage.
  6. Tap the title of the chart subscription of concern. The title will be flagged as “Active” if automatic renewal is enabled for it.
  7. Under Renewal Options, disable Auto-Renewal. This prevents an otherwise scheduled future automatic renewal of the subscription.
